AMC has announced what could only be expected (and perhaps not so expected) after Sunday night’s episode of Breaking Bad. A complte series box set will be released some time in November with all five seasons and many great bonus features.
The box set, as pictured, will be cased in a plastic (plastic Jessie, it has to be plastic!) barrel akin to the ones used b Walter White to store his millions and dispose of unwanted bodies. Aside from the presentation, the box set will also include a Los Pollos Hermanos apron, a commemorative coin and a collector’s booklet which includes a letter from series creator Vince Gilligan. The box set will also include over 2 hours of never-before-seen footage. This will come in the form of a 2 hour documentary covering many aspects of filming the show, plus interviews with the cast.
The most interesting piece of information released with the announcement of this box set is the addition of a 3-minute alternate ending for the finale of the series. Fans will not only be able to revel over the much anticipated ending to the fifth series, but will also be able to experience an alternating ending. What both endings will hold for the characters however, is still a complete mystery. This looks like it will be a great box set to own and a great way to experience Breaking Bad for those (who are you?) that have never experienced the show.
